In California, one mark of success is an Academic Performance Index (API). Guadalupe’s last API of 940 continues our proud tradition as one of the highest performing elementary schools in our area.  86% percent of our students are proficient or advanced in English Language Arts, 91% of our students are proficient or advanced in Mathematics, and 95% of our students achieved proficiency or higher in Science as measured by state assessments! While the performance indicators no longer exist in the form of the CST (California State Test), this year as California embraces a new assessment system and set of Common Core standards, we will continue to seek new ways to make school exciting and relevant for our students. Our staff is highly dedicated to providing an enriched, rigorous curriculum that ensures our students are confident, competent, independent learners.  We're proud to be a proactive community of staff, parents and students striving to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, while ensuring every child realizes his or her potential!
On the left are links to our academic progress in 2013. As the state develops new assessments and posts results, we will add the links for you. Please note, California will not post assessment results until the Fall of 2016 as right now our students are piloting new assessments. In the meantime, teachers use formative class and district assessments to inform their instruction and make learning rigorous for students.
