Dear Guadalupe Families,

We are incredibly fortunate to have had Principal Jones’ as Guadalupe Elementary’s principal the past five years. His legacy and caring leadership of over 35 years in public education is extraordinary. As Dale shared with families yesterday, he plans to retire at the end of this school year, but we have already worked out that he will continue to stay connected with USD working on various projects in the future.

As to the next steps, we will be conducting a rigorous search and interview process for a permanent principal to start July 1, 2022. In starting this process early, our hope is to secure a final candidate that can be announced prior to the summer break and begin getting to know the school, staff and community in June.

As part of the interview and selection process, we would like to ensure we gather your perspective as a Guadalupe parent or guardian as to the essential characteristics for the next principal at Guadalupe. Your insight will help throughout the process as we are committed to selecting a highly qualified final candidate to join the wonderful Guadalupe community.
